§ 2-213. Fees for issuing citations prohibited, penalty.

(a)

An authorized local official issuing a citation under this article for a municipal civil infraction shall not accept a fee for issuing the citation.

(b)

An authorized local official who violates this section is guilty of misconduct in office and is subject to removal from office.
