In lieu of the provisions of the BOCA Code adopted in articles II, III, IV, V and
VI of this chapter relating to a board of appeals, there is created a construction
board of appeals consisting of six members who shall be the same persons who compose
the city zoning board of appeals and who shall have the powers and duties which are
enumerated in Public Act No. 230 of 1972, §§ 14, 15 (MCL 125.1514, 125.1515). With
reference to article VI of this chapter, the board shall process and hear appeals
in like fashion to those heard under the zoning ordinances.
